下午两点钟，大热的天儿，还要被爸爸拽着去上英语辅导班。我不喜欢英语课，更不喜欢好好的假期还要被拉去上英语课。
我不明白，为什么英语会是和语文数学一样重要的学科，学习语文可以提高分析，阅读，写作能力，可以让我们在各种美好的，离奇的，励志的故事海洋里徜徉，学习数学可以提高我们的思维能力，解决生活中遇到的实际问题，就算学个历史，也可以让我们知道中国上下五千年的光辉事迹，学习地理也可以让我们不出门便可领略祖国的大好河山......学习英语呢？我不反对，生活中我们确实会遇到一些英文说明书，标志什么的，但也不至于把英语上升到和语文数学一样的高度。
为了英语能考出好成绩，几乎每个家长都使出浑身解数，把自己的孩子推到各种辅导班。浪费了大量的人力物力，还有时间。可这对边远山区的孩子公平吗？外公所在的小学根本就没有英语课，就是想上英语辅导班，也找不到地方。外公经常说：真不明白，为什么一个外国的'语言却决定着很多中国的孩子能不能上好大学，真是国家的可悲。是呀，农村的孩子到中学才开始上英语课，我们却已经在辅导班把初中的英语课程学完了。农村的孩子出生便倒在了英语的起跑线上，可悲，可叹。
我不反对学英语，英语也绝不应该和我们的语文数学同比，可以和历史，地理这样的小学科并列，这样既可以把我们的传统文化发扬光大，也给了山区，农村边远地区孩子一个和我们站在同一起跑线的机会。

Our school bus will take us there. The school bus will leave at 7:20. Please gather at our school gate at 7:00 a.m.
Those who want to take part in the activity should sign up for it at the Students’ Union before Thursday.
