今天是荟城第一小学302班竞选班长的大日子。学校的相关领导特地请了荟城日报的记者全程采访这件事。荟城第一小学引进国外先进的教育管理模式，与自身特点相结合，走出了一个具有中国特色的小学教育之路。每学期的班长竞选就是其中一项。
大清早的竞选班长的候选人已经到了，大包小包的拎着东西。里面有糖，有果汁，有方便面，还有玩具，这些都是给自己的支持者准备的。当然不能缺少一份激昂的演讲辞。比如，“如果我当上班长，我一定认真履行班长这个职位赋予我的权利和义务，我也希望各级班干部能够统一在班委会的领导下，走富国强民之路。紧跟学校领导的.大计方针，贯彻落实三个一切思想，即‘一切为了学生，为了学生的一切，为了一切的学生’，遵守小学生行为法则”班长竞选的时候，记者们听到这样慷慨激昂的演讲，自愧不如，想当年自己读小学生三年级的时候大字不认识几个，哪还有这逻辑。所以说时代在进步，孩子也提前熟了。
班长竞选了花了一个上午时间，总的来说圆满完成任务，虽然中途也出现了一些小的问题，但影响不了大局。第二日荟城第一小学又这么火了。

上课铃响了，我们纷纷走进教室，我翘首以盼的英语课开始了，和蔼的老师先教我们怎么发音、如何声情并茂的'朗读课文，然后又教我们怎么样快速的记单词，实在难记的单词就编成顺口溜教给我们。我感觉到从没有过的有趣。
一堂课在不知不觉中就接近尾声了，我不知怎么突然走神了，这时老师正好下来检查英语朗读情况，见我坐姿不正确，便提我起来朗读，我准确无误地读了出来，老师说，读的很好，就是声音太小了，学英语一定要记住一条，“大声的读，不要怕难为情”，可是我还是犯下胆小不敢大声朗读的老毛病，老师狠狠地批评了我，并惩罚让我站着听课。下课后，调皮的同学嬉笑我：“嘿，被老师罚站的滋味不好受吧?哈哈------”我红着脸一口气跑开了。
这虽然是我上的第一堂英语课，可从此却让我明白了一个道理，不管做什么?态度是首要的也是决定因素。学好英语的态度就是：读英语要大声，不要怕读错，还要养成每天听读英语的好习惯。
