一、审题明确
首先必须理清写作顺序，有一个清晰的写作脉络，明白题目所涵盖的内容。清楚这篇文章的体裁格式，用什么时态，用第几人称，可以分几段，之间用什么过渡词、连接词。然后列出提纲，最后丰富自己的提纲就可以了。
通常一篇文章包括三个部分，开头部分——说出文章的要点和核心，正文部分——围绕主题展开叙述和讨论，结尾部分——对全文进行总结和概括。
比如一篇作文题目叫“A trip”，很显然这是一篇记叙文，是要写一次短途旅行中发生的事情，而且已经发生过了。发生过的事情，且是自己亲身经历的，就用第一人称和过去时。如果是去描述发生在他人身上的事情，就用第三人称和过去时。

根据评分准则，有效地使用语句间的连接成分，使全文紧凑，是第五档(21-25分)的要求之一。将句子用合适的词连接成段落，并将前后的表述整理通顺，是作文流畅紧凑的关键。
