周一的时候，老师发了一篇文章让我们写读后感。我第一眼看到这篇文章就感到很惊讶，正如文章所说，我们从小学——有的甚至从幼儿园，到初中一直在学英语，考英语。以后上高中，考大学，读研究生，甚至工作了以后还要不断地学英语，考英语。爸爸妈妈也常对我说：“如果你英语不好，不论做什么都将拖你的后腿，要想有更好的生活，更高的社会地位，就必须熟练掌握外语。”记得在小学的时候英语老师就告诉我们：“要是你的.英语特别好的话，出国进修或者工作的机会就比别人多，所以英语一定要学好。”
汉语的使用人数众多，特别是随着中国的和平崛起，经济发展，国力强盛，民族自信心和自豪感增强，其影响力也日益广泛，学汉语的人也越来越多了。全球各地的汉语学校也逐渐建立起来，对外国人进行汉语教学，汉语水平考试近年来人数也不断增加。但是我们要注意到，这些外国人在学习汉语时，比起我们发奋学习英语来说真的是微不足道了。
我们的母语是汉语，学好它是天经地义的事情，也是必须要掌握的，但是现在很多中国人的汉语水平实在不敢恭维，随便找份报纸，上面就有错别字，或者语句不通，这种情况真是太多了。
我相信我以后一定会学好汉语和英语的。

so the naughty john pretended to have passed out in the classroom. when mr. smith came in, he was so scared that he held john in his arms right away. on the way to the hospital, john burst into laughter suddenly, which made the teacher confused. after we told him that it was only a joke, mr. smith laughed too. we were all pleased to see him smiling at last.
